Chiavari/Tiffany chairs: These premium chairs range from KSh 150 – KSh 500 per chair.
Hiring 100 chairs: Expect to pay between KSh 2,000 – KSh 5,000 for basic plastic chairs, or KSh 15,000 – KSh 50,000 for premium chairs (excluding transport).
Throne chairs: Typically cost between KSh 5,000 and KSh 8,000 per piece for the couple’s setup.
Banqueting chairs: Generally priced between KSh 250 and KSh 400 per chair.
Delivery fees: These vary by distance (e.g., Karen vs. CBD) but typically start from KSh 2,000 – KSh 6,000 within Nairobi.
Styles & Logistics
Difference (Banquet vs. Plastic): Banquet chairs are padded and metal-framed for comfort/formality; plastic chairs are lightweight, stackable, and cheaper.
Dressed chairs: This refers to chairs covered in fabric (standard cotton or spandex) with optional tie-backs, usually adding KSh 50 to the base price.
Package deals: Most Nairobi vendors offer bundles (e.g., a 100-pax tent + 100 plastic chairs + 4 tables) starting around KSh 10,000 – KSh 20,000.
Capacity: A standard 100-pax high-peak tent comfortably fits 100 chairs arranged in rows (theater style) or about 80 chairs with tables.
Self-collection: we allow our own transport to ensure the equipment isn’t damaged.
Booking: For peak seasons like December, it is best to book at least 2–3 months in advance.
Policies & Locations
Deposits: A refundable security deposit (often 50%) is standard to cover potential breakages or losses.
Broken/Lost items: You are usually charged the full replacement cost (often 5x–10x the hire rate) for any damaged equipment.
Kids’ furniture: Yes, “kiddie” chairs (plastic or cross-back) are widely available for approx. KSh 50 – KSh 200.
